Concept Design. Personal Project. The Ohlalá bench is a piece of furniture designed to be placed in public buildings, museums, hotels and other minimalist spaces. Its curved shape, obtained from a few clean lines, gets its inspiration from modern architecture and nature, and creates a feeling of lightness. The bench is made of two sheets of moulded maple plywood, glued and joined with screws. The cushion is made of leather. We wanted to design a product which would light up a terrace or garden area with even and diffuse light, creating a great quality experience. Veleiro’s two independent pieces work together, one projecting a narrow beam of light into the other and thus providing soft and glare-free light.
